So Little Time and So Many Opportunities!

Can you believe school starts in exactly a week? Well, it does! If you are anything like I am, you are scrambling around trying to make sure that everything will be ready for that first day of school. Here is a look at my check-list. How does it compare to yours?

1. Set up a Mealpay Plus account to pay for lunches on-line! So much easier than sending lunch money to school, but there is a convenience fee.

2. Purchase school supplies. Consider buying a few extra things to donate.

3. Check the calendar to see what is happening on Wednesday (August 29th) from 4-7pm. Attend the play date at the Sandburg school playground if not already busy.

4. Drop off supplies, see the classroom, and meet the teachers from 1-3:30 on Friday (August 31st). Play date on the playground at Sandburg is happening at the same time. Can drop off supplies for donation there as well. Remember to look for the PTA volunteer slip or return the one I have to be more involved in the school.

¡Poco Tiempo y Muchas Oportunidades!

¿Pueden creer que la escuela comienza en exactamente ¡Pues bien, así es!.  Si usted es cono yo, debe estar tratando de organizar las cosas, viendo que todo esté listo para el primer día de escuela.  Miren mi lista de cosas por hacer.  ¿Se parece a su lista?

1. ¡Abrir una cuenta en Mealpay Plus para pagar los almuerzos en-línea! Más fácil que mandar dinero a la escuela, pero hay un cargo por el servicio.

2. Comprar los útiles escolares.  Considere comprar algo extra para donar.

3. Revisar el calendario para ver qué tengo pendiente para el Miércoles (29 de Agosto) entre las 4 y las 7pm. Ir a la Tarde de Juego en el jardín de Sandburg si no tengo compromisos.

4. LLevar los útiles a la escuela, ver la clase y conocer a los/las maestros/as el Viernes de 1 a 3:30 pm (31 de Agosto). Al mismo tiempo es la Segunda Tarde de Juego de Sandburg.  También ese día puede llevar útiles que va a donar.  Recuerde llenar la hoja de voluntarios del PTA si no tiene uno y si le gustaría involucrarse más activamente en la escuela.
