Counting Down!

The start of school is only 3 weeks, but there are a lot of things happening before that first day! The newest items on that list are Sandburg Playdates! This is a wonderful opportunity for new students to learn some names and faces to make that first day a little easier and for returning students to catch up on how the summer went without a teacher shushing them! Be sure to check out the calendar for full details and a list of all the other things that are happening starting next week. Also, if you don't know, we are already looking for some parents to volunteer to help with the registration process. There are different opportunities available including greeting families, directing traffic (meaning in the hallways!), helping families sign up for the e-mail list, etc. Get involved early! ¡Cuenta Regresiva!

¡Faltan sólo 3 semanas para el comienzo de clases, pero hay muchas actividades antes del primer día!.   Entre lo nuevo que tenemos en la lista, están las ¡Tardes de Juego de Sandburg!.  Esta es una maravillosa oportunidad para que los nuevos estudiantes aprendan algunos nombres y caras que van a hacer más fácil el primer día de escuela, y para los que regresan, es una oportunidad de ponerse al día sobre lo que hicieron en verano ¡sin tener a una maestra de por medio!.  Asegúrese de revisar el calendario para detalles completos y tener la lista completa de todas las actividades a partir de la próxima semana.  Además, por si no lo sabían, estamos buscando padres que sean voluntarios durante el proceso de matrícula.  Hay diferentes oportunidades para servir, desde dar la bienvenida a las familias, dirigir el tránsito (¡en los pasillos!) , ayudar a las familias a suscribirse para la lista de e-mail, etc.   ¡Involúcrese desde el inicio!  ¡Llene el formulario de voluntarios seleccionando la pestaña “volunteer” en esta página.
